Digital marketing and fashion tech consultant, Anastasia Nicole, brings  over a decade of experience working at the intersection of fashion, business and technology to every one of her projects.

I followed my love of fashion from college to a string of jobs in retail, and eventually into working with high-growth tech startups. A digital native who started leveraging social media as a fashion and lifestyle blogger in 2007, I amassed a wide range of skills making me uniquely suited to help brands wade through the muddy waters of technology.

In my years working as a merchandiser and in wholesale sales with brands like French Connection, Bloomingdales, and Theory, I saw first hand how shifting consumer behaviors were poised to disrupt traditional retail models. After several years deep in the trenches of retail and apparel, I began my transition into tech. I started by managing IT sales for a solutions provider focused on serving public and private schools, where I opened the Texas market. However, it was my work at Atlanta-based startup, Softwear Automation, that helped me understand how technology if applied correctly, could solve the apparel industry’s mounting problems including making it more ethical and sustainable. Alongside, I served as a contributing writer for Haute Living, Frank 151, and Type F by Tyra Banks, to name a few. I also created digital content for individuals and brands like Banana Republic, Jord Watches, Maybelline, and Grey Goose.

In addition to my role as Managing Director, Labs at Shadow Ventures where I work directly with startup founders to help them grow their businesses, I put my passions and skills to good use as a consultant helping brands develop custom strategies to navigate today’s media and retail landscapes with the proper application of technology. I am active member of both Atlanta’s fashion and startup ecosystems and make trips to New York for work and not work.

My most recent position was as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Spinririlla where I put in place marketing and sales processes designed to help the company scale and position themselves as the leading streaming platform for independent hip-hop. I have produced events and managed large and small scale activations including, Shadow Summit 2018, the Spinrilla House during A3C 2017, the Spinrilla Family Reunion during A3C 2018, and multiple showings at trade shows including WWD Magic, Texprocess Frankfurt, Texprocess Americas, and Coterie.

A passionate believer in making fashion and technology more diverse and inclusive, I recently launched the Connect Fash/Tech digital community for women of color in fashion and technology to create more seats at the table for deserving entrepreneurs and professionals.

I work out to Cardi B almost every morning and sleep in when I don’t.
